Sunday Reading: What, I’m No Longer an Aries?

After one of the most hectic weeks I’ve experienced at Middlebury that had absolutely nothing to do with classes, and everything to do with The Hunt, it’s nice to get out into the real world and see what’s going on.

SUDAN95% of the Sudanese people voted in favor of the referendum to secede and form the world’s 196th country.

FLOODING:  Austrailia, Brazil, and the Philippeans have all experienced extreme flooding, causing massive destruction of both existing man-made structures and natural resources.

ASTROLOGY: When the astrological signs were first determined 3000 years ago, the earth’s relation to the sun and the constellations around it was drastically different than today.  Due to this re-alignment, a 13th astrological sign, Ophiuchus, has been discovered.

I LOVE BREAD: This may seem strange, but this is a fascinating 10 minute video in which the process of creating massive quantities of croissants is demonstrated.
