“THE SNITCH IS LOOSE!”
Midd’s Quidditch enthusiasts suited up and hit the pitch this morning, playing a series of pick-up games on muddy Battell Beach to prepare for The Middlebury Classic on October 16th.
Other schools are invited to participate in the Classic this year, harkening back to the days when Middlebury hosted the Quidditch World Cup on the same turf where the sport was first played in 2005. The World Cup, now an international tournament with 100 participating Quidditch teams hailing from Texas to New Zealand to Argentina, will be held in New York City on November 12-13.
Want to try dodging bludgers with a wooden broom between your legs? Grab some friends and head over to Battell Beach at noon on Sundays. Want to sign up a team for the Middlebury Classic? Do so here.
