Update 11/20: The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) beat Middlebury’s Field Hockey team earlier today 3-1 to become NCAA Division III champions. This would have been Midd’s first field hockey title since 1998, but it was still one of the best runs the team has ever made (this is the 6th time we’ve gotten to the NCAA title game).

Middlebury’s Field Hockey Team dominated previously undefeated Bowdoin 3-0 earlier this morning in the Field Hockey NCAA Division 3 Semifinals. Middlebury finally got redemption after having lost twice to the rival Polar Bears in close games earlier this year. They will play the winner of Ursinus and The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) who play at 2PM this afternoon.

Lucy Jackson ’12 scored the first goal of the game on a deflection. Lauren Greer ’13 got the second one on a incredible backhand shot. To finish it off, Elinore O’Brien ’14 scored with a clutch second-half shot, finding its way to the back of the net.

The NCAA Final will be streamed for free here tomorrow at 1PM, be sure to tune in.
