Welcome Class of 2016!

Staff from Wonnacott Commons help first-years move into Battell Hall.

You’ve waited an entire summer and now with your flannel all packed, your jeans rolled high, your Teva’s strapped tight, and your Nalgene swingin’ low…it has arrived. Orientation week is here! Today marks first-year move-in day for the Class of 2016, and MiddBlog would like to be among the first to welcome you to the Middlebury community! For those of you who don’t know us yet, MiddBlog provides alternative news coverage for the Middlebury College campus and beyond. From the latest lowdown on Liebowitz strategery to your average dining hall chatter, MiddBlog has got you covered.

Between moving in your entire wardrobe, figuring out what classes to take, and learning how to hoedown, orientation can be quite the ordeal. That’s why MiddBlog’s here to help. Over the years, our writers have complied our own “Unofficial Orientation”. From dining halls to building abbreviations, it’s a helpful little guide of some things that might not be in your orientation packet.

Finally, MiddBlog is always looking for new writers! If you’re interested in writing for us or would like more information on what we do and how to get involved, email us at tips@midd-blog.com! Also, follow us on Twitter at @middblog or like our Facebook page for more Middlebury news!

Welcome again!
